Welcome! Withdrawal Timelines started as a set of day-by-day guides to what quitting feels like, from caffeine and sugar to nicotine, cannabis, alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines and prescription medications. This forum is where you can compare notes with people going through the same thing.

A few ways to get started:

      • Introduce yourself with a reply here or a new topic: what you’re quitting or tapering, and what day you’re on.
      • Start a progress log in Day-by-Day Check-ins and add to it as you go. Looking back at day 3 from day 30 helps.
      • Ask about a specific substance in its board, and check the matching withdrawal timeline for what’s typical.
      • Share a win in Wins & Milestones, however small.

Please read the pinned Community Guidelines first. Your first post will appear after a quick moderator review. This is peer support, not medical advice. If you’re thinking about stopping alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids or a prescription, talk to a clinician first.

      We’re glad you’re here.
